The graphite electrode business of the Resonac Group operates across three major regions worldwide: Asia, the Americas, and Europe–Middle East–Africa. In addition to our global production and sales activities, we own AMI, a digital solutions company in Mexico, as a wholly owned subsidiary. This enables us to establish a comprehensive service framework, positioning ourselves as a trusted business partner that helps our customers achieve optimal steel production.

In Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture, blessed with rich natural surroundings, we own an environmentally friendly hydroelectric power plant and a water management system that also serves local agricultural and fire prevention needs. Since 1938, supported by our customers, business partners, and the local community, we have been engaged in the production and sales of graphite electrodes.

As the need for global action against climate change becomes increasingly urgent, the electric arc furnace (EAF) method of steel production—which emits significantly less CO₂—is expected to expand steadily in the future. Graphite electrodes are an indispensable material for EAF steelmaking, and by delivering the highest quality products worldwide, we contribute to the advancement of a sustainable economic society (SDGs). Furthermore, in collaboration with other Resonac Group businesses, such as our battery anode materials operations, we are evolving toward a solutions-oriented approach that contributes to the entire graphite value chain, thereby pursuing greater business stability.
